At the beginning of my sophomore year at the University of Texas, I became an illustrator for the campus newspaper, The Daily Texan. I was assigned to the opinions department, where I chose multiple article pitches weekly and was challenged to find unique and captivating ways to illustrate the articles. The results of my ongoing endeavors in this department are shown below, and they range from heavily sarcastic, to allusive, to metaphorical, to highly literal and stylized.

There are some outliers mixed into this batch of newspaper illustrations, most of which came about during my study abroad program in Guatemala.
